Local consultant takes up more responsibility in Royal Brompton & Harefiled NHS FT

At the November Board Meeting of the Royal Brompton & Harefield Trust the Chairman announced that Dr Richard Grocott-Mason will take up the post as interim medical director when Prof Evans leaves.  He is currently the divisional director of the heart division at Harefield Hospital, a post he has held since October 2014.   His adult cardiology experience includes assessment of coronary artery disease, valve disease and heart failure.   He works with a team of cardiologists to provide the primary angioplasty service at Harefield.

Dr Grocott-Mason has worked at Hillingdon Hospital and Harefield Hospital since 1999, combining clinical work with clinical leadership roles, including clinical director for medicine and then joint medical director and responsible officer for The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
