Ruislip Post Office

Post Office Ltd has recently sent out a press release advising that it is proposed to relocate Ruislip Post Office from its present site at 48 High Street to 68 High Street presently occupied by a Sony retail outlet. The move would be part of Post Office plans to modernise the network and extend the opening hours for customers. The new branch would have five serving positions-two open-plan counters, two modern screened positions and a Post Office serving point for use at the retail counter, which is open during shop opening hours. Opening hours at the new location would be Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 21:00; Friday and Saturday: 07:00 to 22:00; Sunday 07:00 to 19:00 offering customers an extra 53 hours a week to access Post Office products and services. The new premises would have a new wider automatic door for improved access. These plans form a part of a major national investment programme to convert the Post Office network to new-style branches the largest in the history of the Post Office which also makes a commitment to no more branch closure programmes. It is not clear whether these new premises will incorporate a convenience store but the stated hours of opening would suggest so. There is a six week public consultation which will close on 3rd April and submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd  Ruislip Online South Ruislip HA4 or via email to comments @postoffice.co.uk We will keep all informed of developments.
