Bishop Ramsey School’s Spring Afternoon Tea

Once again Bishop Ramsey School opened its doors to welcome local residents for a Traditional Afternoon Tea which was held on Thursday April 3rd from 12pm to 2.00pm. This was another special event which was ideal on a Spring afternoon to spend time with friends and meet new people within the local community.

The menu consisted of a carefully prepared selection of mouth watering sandwiches, cakes, pastries and the classic English scones with jam and clotted cream. On arrival, set on all the tables, there was a gift of tiny Easter eggs in an Easter bunny bag for every guest to take home. Students were very helpful in making sure there were replacements for the plates of goodies that soon became empty and   serving tea from dainty teapots.

During the afternoon guests were entertained by music played by students; there was Luca playing the piano with Jermaine on drums, a delightful duet with singer Sophie accompanied by Lucy on the piano and Hilaria who gave a beautiful rendition of Carol of the Bells.

As was the case at the school’s Christmas Lunch, every guest was given a free raffle ticket in order to take part in the raffle towards the end of the afternoon. The school is to be congratulated once again for bringing together members of the community.
